Washburn and the River is the Bedroom Indie folk project of Jake Rosenberg. Hailing from Boston, WatR draws much inspiration from his family's rugged cranberry bog adjacent cabin in Cape Cod where he has spent many a summer ruminating and reflecting introspectively on a deeply emotional upbringing. Taking pages from modern Indie folk-rock royalty such as Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes, and Grizzly Bear, while following in the footsteps of earlier legends like Bob Dylan and Nick Drake, Jake is a versatile songwriter who avoids boxing himself in with a singular sound, preferring to cover a wider swath of musical terrain with his band or solo. He's getting ready to announce a brand new record he produced in his bedroom in Brooklyn through the pandemic, and kicking off a new exciting chapter of WatR.
