Welcome to the seventh edition of YOUTH ON-THE-MIC presented by The United Theatre and The Knickerbocker Music Center. Youth On-the-Mic is an open mic series for 6th to 12th graders who want to perform, sing, or play music (whether original or covers) to a community of music lovers eager to hear them. We are once again coming to you from the virtual space with a number of new performances from middle and high schoolers across southern RI and southeastern CT.

We are once again coming to you from the virtual space, this time with 18 performances from middle and high schoolers across southern RI and southeastern CT.

The event is our alternative to the many adult open mics out there. These events provide kids and teens with a place to play and a community of music lovers eager to hear them. Because our live bi-monthly youth open mic – Youth On-the-Mic – was cancelled due to social distancing, we are presenting a virtual, live from home edition. We have 13 young performers who shared videos of them performing at home. There are 14 songs performed in total. Youth On-the-Mic is a presented in by The United Theatre and The Knickerbocker Music Center as part of their collaborative RI Philharmonic music education program. A special thanks to local music educator Tom Foley at The Band Room.
