Walt Wilkins

“He “Walt” might be one of the most under-appreciated of the modern Texas country scene’s founding fathers, having been best known as the writer or co-writer for many of Pat Green’s best-loved songs, including “Songs About Texas,” “Carry On,” and “Poetry” –- Lonestar Music Magazine.

“Walt Wilkins is 'a songwriter, producer, poet, and troubadour' -- Americana Highways.

“Vigil “is a very low-key, quiet record, with songs that are beautiful and thoughtful, and the sequencing is perfect. It is a very mature piece of work with an emotional and spiritual honesty which resonates very strongly with me.” -- My Kind of Country

A near-constant presence on the Texas Music Chart since its inception as a songwriter, producer, singer, guitar player, and artist, Walt Wilkins spent a solid decade in the Nashville Country Music business trenches, writing songs he wanted to be recorded by artists he admired.  There are indeed some noteworthy cuts: "Seven Hillsides," by Ricky Skaggs, on a record that won a bluegrass-gospel Grammy. Ty Herndon, during his heyday, made "Big Hopes" the title of his 3rd album for Sony, and there have been roughly a dozen other songs on major-label records.it was Pat Green's recordings, particularly "Ruby's Two Sad Daughters," that brought him national recognition according to the Austin American-Statesman.

Wilkins’ songs have been recorded by over 100 artists, including Pat Green, Cory Morrow, Brandon Ryder, and Tommy Alverson. He also has had cuts recorded by Kimmie Rhodes (“Espiritu Santo Bay”), Kenny Rogers (“Someone Somewhere Tonight”), Ricky Skaggs (“Seven Hillsides”), and Ty Herndon (“Big Hopes”).

“Trains I Missed,” recorded by Wilkins and others, can be counted upon to get people singing along at a Wilkins show. A version of “Trains I Missed” by Balsam Range has been nominated as the song of the year by the International Bluegrass Association. Wilkins also earned a star on the South Texas Music Walk of Fame in Corpus Christi.

Since moving back to Texas, Wilkins has produced albums for Rhyder, Jamie Richards, Bonnie Bishop, Jason Eady, Sam Baker, and Brian Langlinais, among others.

Wilkins' work has been likened to the greatest and most timeless of the Texas/American troubadours: Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, and Kevin Welch, among others. But the John Steinbeck comparison in the review of “Fire, Honey & Angels made him stand out as a truly great lyrical artist.

Walt is responsible for Waltstock & Barrel in Fredericksburg, TX.  He performs at many festivals, including the Red River Song Festival, the Kerrville Folk Festival, Mile O Fest in Key West, and many more.

Walt's latest record, "Through The Stars," was recorded with The Ramble and released in February 2025.

Grace Morrison

“Her voice smacks of Jewel, and her style, cadence, and song structure is every inch from the school of Joan Osborne, Lisa Loeb, and Natalie Merchant. It’s uncanny.” -  Lauren Daley, Boston Globe
“Grace Morrison is the most interesting new songwriter I have heard since I started working with John Fullbright 10 years ago.-” Greg Johnson, Blue Door, OK

In the course of the last few years, Grace Morrison has become established as a confident, refreshing voice in country pop.
Music fans are certain to find much to love with storytelling and her clear, crisp delivery of songs reminiscent of Jewel and Lisa Loeb.
Her songs tell tales about family, persistence, joyfulness, and sadness, and burrow their way into the hearts and souls of those who listen.
In 2021, Grace released her album, Daughter, to high acclaim. “The thing about this record that keeps making me chuckle is that the idea started as ‘Let’s make a 5 song stripped-down EP….really reinvent myself, but it turned into a fully-produced 15 song too long record
and wound up as 12 country songs.”  One of the songs, "Just Loving You," was co-written with Grammy award-winning songwriter, Lori McKenna, when Grace was eight months pregnant with her son. This past year, Grace intended on releasing a few songs produced
by Texas producer, Walt Wilkins, but it grew into a full-fledged Americana-tinged album called Mostly Modern, which will be available in March 2023.

Grace has been making regular trips to Nashville to do co-writing with various songwriters and had the chance to play a gig on the stage at the famous club, The Bluebird Café, and has already been asked to return in January.  She was awarded Official Showcases at SWRFA
(South Western Regional Folk Alliance) and NERFA (Northeast Regional Folk Alliance) in the Fall of 2022.  She played at festivals in Florida, Texas, and Montana this past year and is continuing to make fans everywhere she goes.

Grace's latest record, " Saltwater Country,"  release date is in April 2025..

Marc Douglas Berardo

Singer-songwriter, performer, and keen observer, Marc Douglas Berardo composes songs that mine the deep feelings and lessons gleaned from real-life characters and situations, along with an onstage presence that uses humor and deft storytelling to rally an audience and lead them into a deep and almost spiritual experience. It’s an adventure that brings to mind James Taylor, Jimmy Buffett, Guy Clark, or Steely Dan with a touch of Mark Twain or Hunter S. Thompson for good measure.  An MDB show is a night of laughter and emotion that works to send an audience home with a renewed sense of possibility.

Berardo’s first music show was in a biker bar in Allston, MA, in 1987. Since that day, he has never stopped performing made-up songs. He has opened for or shared the stage with heavyweights such as The Doobie Brothers, The Pousette-Dart Band, Jimmy Lafave,  Catie Curtis, Martin Sexton, 10,000 Maniacs, John Hiatt, The New Riders of the Purple Sage, The Buffalo Springfield, Kevin Welch, Lucy Kaplansky, Eric Andersen, Eric Taylor, David Olney, Red Molly, Kim Richey, Will Kimbrough, Walt Wilkins, Ari Hest, Kenny White and Livingston Taylor.

Berardo has performed at numerous nationally known songwriter festivals.  Most recently,  the 2024 Red Lodge Songwriter Festival,  2025 Tucson Folk Festival, The 2025 Grand Mesa Songwriter Festival,  He has been nationally recognized for his music and performances at the Rocky Mountain Folks Fest Song contest, Telluride Troubadour Contest, Sisters Folk Festival, and 2013 Rams Head Onstage Rammie for Best Show of the Year.)   Berardo was a finalist at the Kerrville New Folk Song Contest and the winner of the Wildflower Art and Music Festival Song Contest. Marc has participated in several well-regarded song workshops and performance excursions in exotic locations, including Costa Rica, the Florida Keys, Bimini (Bahamas), and Belize.

Berardo's interview and live performance feature on Sirius/ XM Satellite Radio show, The Village, was voted one of the best of the year by listeners. Berardo was nominated as Best Americana Vocalist by readers of Motif Magazine in early 2017. In 2023, the Rhode Island Music Awards nominated him as Best Singer-Songwriter..

Berardo’s new full-length record, “The Beauty of This Now,” was released on May 31, 2024. It was recorded in Austin, Texas, and produced by Texas legends Ron Flynt and Walt Wilkins. John Apice of Americana Highways wrote: “There’s a seriousness to Marc’s compositions that’s not apparent in the slew of artists who seem to have a lot of nothing to say in an album’s worth of music…Marc is cut from the same cloth as James Taylor, early Elton John…”

"Berardo takes you to a place within yourself to make changes you want to see in the world." -- Mary Jane Twohy, The Village, Sirius/XM Radio

"High-quality story-telling, picking, and playing." -- Rob Ellen, The Medicine Show Radio Moose Mobile, U.K.

“Marc Douglas Berardo writes songs that are witty without being superficial, intelligent without being ponderous, fun without being silly. He performs them with an infectious verve. On top of that, he doesn't seem to have the slightest idea of just how good he is." -- David Olney
