Kyle Rathbun is a multi-instrumentalist and indie/alternative songwriter from Connecticut. His songs usually center around a guitar and an emotion, with some recordings remaining intimate and sparse (e.g., “Wake Me Up”) while others explore a more lush sound. His newest EP Summertime shows a more refined vision, with bold and poetic lyrics that may find a welcome home with fans of Phoebe Bridgers, Death Cab for Cutie, and emo-tinged outfits such as Tigers Jaw, The Story So Far, and Modern Baseball. His vocal delivery is raw and honest and readily connects with the listener.
