The Mighty Soul Drivers bring the classic Soul sounds of Memphis, Muscle Shoals and points South to the hills of New England! These are the R&B grooves that will have Knickerbocker swing dancers out in full force but Bor Orsi’s incredible vocals and the top notch players behind him helmed by longtime Zydeco drummer River City Slim of the Zydeco Hogs bring to life a Soul catalogue that is unique among regional offerings. The rhythm is familiar but the lyrics and listening are new. Classic renditions of the soul catalogue with danceable takes on solid classics like Turning Point, Mighty Joe Young’s theme for the James Caan 1981 classic film Thief.
