About Haunt the House:

Haunt the House falls somewhere between a bedroom whispered heart broken prayer and a brilliant repentant cry in the dark. Will Houlihan consistently writes songs that are simple and personal. The music gleams with a stirring, spiritually-inflected sound that well represents the band name. "Originally the solo acoustic project of Will Houlihan, Haunt The House has recently expanded to something much bigger and bolder. On the recently released Jack Rabbit Jones, the full spectrum of folk instrumentation has joined in, with rapturous mandolin and accordion adding a spacious backdrop for Houlihan and a chorus of singers to cry, moan, plead and delight. This is the kind of music that the genre tag of Americana was custom-made for." --Robert Hamm, Paste Magazine

About Ian Fitzgerald:

Though perhaps technically a singer-songwriter, Ian Fitzgerald prefers the term 'folk singer,' as it more accurately describes the tradition in which his music is rooted. From early twentieth century field recordings through Hank Williams, Bob Dylan, Gillian Welch, and hundreds of artists in between, Ian has been influenced by one of the sturdiest strains of American music. Ian's compelling lyrics and indelible melodies have won him first place in the Boston Folk Festival Songwriting Contest (for the song "Lillian") and earned him a spot in the Emerging Artist Showcase at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival and a Quad Showcase performance at the 2013 Northeast Regional Folk Alliance (NERFA) Conference. In their review of his latest album, No Time To Be Tender [2013], Performer Magazine called Ian "a polished songsmith who is high atop a field of great artists breaking through to festival and folk concerts throughout the States." That breakthrough continues as Ian tours in support of that record, including performances at the NXNE Festival and the kickoff show for this year's Newport Folk Festival.

Both Haunt the House and Ian Fitzgerald are alumni performers of the prestigious, world-renowned Newport Folk Festival.
