Virtual Youth on-the-mic

Sunday, November 29

**OPEN CALL - YOUTH ON-THE-MIC**

Join The United Theatre and The Knickerbocker Music Center on Sunday, November 29th for our next YOUTH ON-THE-MIC, an open mic series for 6th to 12th graders who want to perform, sing, or play music (whether original or covers) to an audience. As with the past few editions, this month's event will be virtual. Holiday songs are welcome and encouraged (but not required)!

Interested performers should be in 6th to 12th grade and live in Rhode Island or Southeastern Connecticut. Performers should take a video of a performance of an uncut, one to two song set that begins with an introduction complete with their name and their selected song(s) and artist(s). Band submissions are acceptable as well, but please note that for this edition we require that all videos be newly filmed specifically for this presentation and unedited as a one to two song continuous set with introduction. Videos should be emailed to us at tony@unitedtheatre.org by Wed. November 25th. We will edit the videos together and premiere a virtual open mic using the performances on The United Theatre and Knickerbocker social media pages (Facebook, YouTube and Instagram) at 7pm on Sunday, November 29th.

Youth On-the-Mic is our alternative to the many adult open mics out there. These events provide kids and teens with a place to play and a community of music lovers eager to hear them.
